Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: China's integrated circuit output reached 244.7 billion units in the first three quarters

According to the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in the first three quarters of this year, China's electronic information manufacturing industry production has recovered steadily, the industry's exports have clearly differentiated, production efficiency has gradually recovered, investment has grown steadily, and revenue differences between regions are large.

In the first three quarters, the added value of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 1.4% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 0.5 percentage points higher than that from January to August; the growth rate was 2.6 percentage points and 0.5 percentage points lower than the industrial and high-tech manufacturing industries in the same period respectively. In September, the added value of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 4.5% year-on-year.

In the first three quarters, among the main products, the production of mobile phones was 1.094 billion units, a year-on-year increase of 0.8%, including 792 million smartphones, a year-on-year decrease of 6.1%; the output of microcomputer equipment was 253 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 21.1%; the output of integrated circuits was 244.7 billion units. blocks, a year-on-year decrease of 2.5%. 

In the first three quarters, the export delivery value of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size fell by 8.1% year-on-year, 0.1 percentage points deeper than the decline from January to August, and 3.3 percentage points deeper than the industrial decline in the same period. In September, the export delivery value of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size fell by 8.3% year-on-year. Among the 9 medium-category industries, 4 industries showed positive growth, and the export growth rate of 5 industries showed a downward trend.

According to customs statistics, in the first three quarters, China exported 106.11 million laptops, a year-on-year decrease of 19%; exported 561 million mobile phones, a year-on-year decrease of 8.5%; and exported 199.9 billion integrated circuits, a year-on-year decrease of 5.1%.

In the first three quarters, the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size achieved operating income of 10.7 trillion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3.4%, 0.1 percentage point narrower than the decline from January to August; operating costs were 9.33 trillion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3%; total profits were achieved 427.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 18.6%, 2 percentage points narrower than the decline from January to August; the operating income profit margin was 4%, an increase of 0.1 percentage points from January to August.

In the first three quarters, fixed asset investment in the electronic information manufacturing industry increased by 10.2% year-on-year, 1.2 percentage points higher than the growth rate of industrial investment in the same period, but 1.1 percentage points lower than the growth rate of high-tech manufacturing investment.

In the first three quarters, the eastern region of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size achieved operating income of 7,272.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3.8%, 0.8 percentage points narrower than the decline from January to August; the central region achieved operating income of 1,708.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 5.2%. The decline deepened by 1.6 percentage points from January to August; the western region achieved operating income of 1,614.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 0.1%, a decrease of 1.2 percentage points from January to August; the northeastern region achieved operating income of 74.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.5%, a year-on-year decrease of 1.2 percentage points. It fell by 0.3 percentage points from January to August. The operating income of the electronic information manufacturing industry in the four regions accounted for 68.2%, 16%, 15.1% and 0.7% of the national share respectively.
